iPhone X Review: iPhone 5s Upgrader’s Perspective – One Month Later

I was one of the lucky people to be able to pre-order an iPhone X for launch day (3rd November 2017) and after a month’s usage, I now feel is the right time to put out my review of the iPhone X, which includes some extra details potentially not seen elsewhere on the internet.

The iPhone X is as I use it, one of the biggest if not the biggest jump since the original iPhone.

Apple Sep ’17 – Let’s Meet At Our Place – Expectations

UPDATE: Based on a lot of recent leaks in the past few days, the post has been updated to reflect the changes. Rumours that the 7s/Plus will actually be called the 8/Plus due to the change in design with the glass back and the OLED iPhone will be likely either iPhone X or iPhone Edition, of which I still prefer the later.

Apple is holding their usual September yearly event next week on the 12th at 10am local time in Cupertino.

The event this year is held for the first time at Apple’s the new campus (the spaceship one) with the Steve Jobs Theatre being used for the first time.

This theatre named after the late-CEO has a capacity of 1000 seats, which is more than 3x the size of the 300 seat Town Hall at Apple’s original campus which has recently been used to announce the iPhone 5s, iPad Air 2 and even the most recent MacBook Pro with Touch Bar.

Expectations for Apple’s WWDC 2017

UPDATE #1 (31st May 2017): Added section regarding updated WWDC app.

Apple has announced yesterday that they will be doing a live stream of their opening keynote at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) like they do every year, but this year it is held from June 5-9 at San Jose McEnery Convention Centre, which they haven’t held a WWDC conference at since 2002.

Now you may be asking, why San Jose instead of San Francisco?

Apple’s SVP of Marketing Phil Schiller said that the venue is about the same size as Moscone Center in San Francisco, but have no other reason as to why the change, but it is a lot closer to Apple’s campuses which will make it easier for the 1000 Apple engineers to get to and from the conference.

What got me thinking about this is that when they do a change in venues from their regular routine, their is likely a reason for doing so, more so than just convenience of to host more people, or ease of travel etc.
