For Australian users on Telstra who have a pre-paid, post-paid or mobile broadband plan were giving the ability to download unlimited free data midnight to midnight on Sunday the 3rd of April (yesterday).

This was in response for another recent phone reception drop-out in many areas of Australia.

Kogan Buys Dick Smith’s Online Store

Kogan announced today, that it will be buying Dick Smith’s Online Store.

This is a massive deal for the Dick Smith business, as they are currently on a closing down sale that lasts 8 weeks from the 25th of February and being almost 3 weeks in as of time of writing.

Kogan says they will “continue the legacy” of the Dick Smith’s brand and keep the online business going as a “dual-business strategy” since Kogan’s business is online sales focused.

Rumour: Apple Store in Federation Square Melbourne – UPDATE: CONFIRMED

UPDATE DEC 2017: Apple has officially announced that they will be building a store at Fed Square. Building commences in 2019, and open for the public sometime in 2020. Details: https://9to5mac.com/2017/12/19/apple-global-flagship-australia-federation-square/ 

Rumour circulating this morning announced on Melbourne’s 3AW Breakfast show believing that part of Melbourne’s iconic Federation Square is going to be knocked down and re-built to incorporate a flagship Apple Store.

The Government and Council cannot provide any further information and this is only a rumour.
